Edmonton Airports has finalized a new financing arrangement with Alberta Capital Finance Authority (ACFA), positioning Edmonton Airports to finance a five-year $1 billion expansion project at Edmonton International Airport.

Passengers departing Edmonton International Airport pay a $15 Airport Improvement Fee (AIF). This fee is included in the price of airline tickets. The AIF is used to fund the expansion and improvement of airport facilities. Edmonton Airports has no plans to increase the Airport Improvement Fee.
