Rates and Fees (effective Jan. 5, 2009)

Like many general aviation airports in Canada, Villeneuve Airport continues to be challenged to meet its costs of operations and capital. As we move forward to address these issues, and to continue to provide our users with services they expect, Edmonton Airports is introducing a new schedule of landing fees and aircraft parking fees at Villeneuve Airport.

The landing fees will apply to fixed wing turbine and jet aircraft landings; the parking fees will apply to aircraft parked on the main Apron and the public tie-down area. Fees are effective Jan. 5, 2009.

Landing fees are applicable to fixed-wing turbine and jet aircraft and are charged per 1000 kg or portion thereof of the maximum design takeoff weight (MTOW) of the aircraft.

Aircraft MTOW (kg)  Rate per 1000 kgs
10,000 kgs or less $3.00
10,001 kgs or greater $3.50

Future Growth

A Villeneuve Airport Master Plan was finalized in 2006. It makes recommendations for the development of the airport that are expected to create increased business and employment opportunities and increased property taxes paid to the county. The plan also identifies the potential for an Airport Business Park on the southeast quadrant of the airport property.

It is expected that traffic at Villeneuve Airport will grow over time, although the size of the aircraft will not increase due to runway limitations.
