Edmonton, Alta. – Holiday travellers can take advantage of enhanced parking services at Edmonton International Airport, including more parking stalls and new services that will get passengers on their way faster.
Exit with ease
Parking customers can now pre-pay for Value Park and Parkade by using one of four new parking pay stations in the airport terminal. To save time leaving the lot, five new express exits have been designated for customers who use the terminal pay stations or pay by credit card.
Expanded parkade
Nearly 200 new stalls have opened in the Parkade in time for holiday travellers. The 200 new stalls bring the total number of Parkade stalls to almost 2,000. Another 800 new Parkade stalls will be added when the Parkade expansion project is completed in 2008.
Increased surface parking capacity
In addition to almost 4,000 Value Park stalls, 700 overflow stalls are available on gravel in a temporary lot on the north side of Airport Road near the QE II Highway entrance/exit. The overflow can accommodate up to 2,000 cars on flat field, if necessary. The combined parking capacity at Edmonton International for the winter holiday season is almost 8,000 stalls.
Other parking services
- FREE plug-ins on Parkade levels P3 & P4
- FREE coat check for parking customers is available at the Valet Park
office on Departures Level
- FREE battery boost service for parking customers
- FREE shuttle bus service for Value Park and overflow parking customers
Passenger pick-up
Curbside meters are available at the Rendezvous Meeting Point on Arrivals Level for picking up arriving passengers; however, availability will be limited during the holiday rush and the maximum time allowed is 20 minutes per vehicle. The hourly level of the Parkade is another option for short stays while meeting and greeting passengers.
Stop, drop and go!
Passenger drop-off areas on Departures Level are for quick stops only. Unattended vehicles will be tagged and/or towed. The hourly level of the Parkade provides added flexibility and convenience for well wishers who would like to accompany someone into the airport terminal to see them off.
Arrive early, depart on time!
During the busy holiday season, we recommend that passengers arrive at the airport 15 minutes prior to their flight’s earliest check-in time to park, check-in and clear security, ensuring a stress-free travel experience.
